Automation and ERP/CRM with AI for manufacturing companies

We deliver implementations for mid-sized manufacturers who have outgrown Excel, but for whom a big ERP costs more than it brings in. Instead of waiting quarters for a feature from Comarch — you get dedicated modules built on Open Mercato, with an AI assistant from day one.

What hurts a mid-sized manufacturer in Poland

The pattern is the same for a sewing workshop, an orthosis manufacturer and a garden furniture factory. Only the vocabulary differs — the pain is exactly the same.

Quoting stuck in Excel

Every quote means hours of spreadsheet juggling, copying formulas, updating fabric and accessory prices. At a scale of dozens of quotes per week — the sales rep becomes the bottleneck.

Complex BOM (bill of materials)

A product made of several components, each with its own material usage, cost and supplier. Calculating this by hand is error-prone, and a BOM error = a margin error.

Margins that depend on quantity, channel, customer

The same quote for 100 vs 1000 units is two different margins. For a strategic customer — a third. For B2B and B2C — a fourth and fifth. The rules exist, but no one has codified them.

Decoration, finishing, processing — separate price lists

Screen printing per number of colors, embroidery per stitch count, milling, lacquering, engraving. Each technique has its own pricing model. In quotes — chaos.

Prototypes and minimum-quantity orders

An order for 5 prototypes does not look like an order for 1000 units. The system needs its own logic, otherwise the sales rep estimates „by feel” and loses margin.

Customer quote as PDF, not Word

Every sales rep puts a quote together their own way. No consistent branding, no unified layout, no versioning. The buyer sees chaos — the company looks smaller than it is.

ERP without AI

Big systems are bolting on AI 15 years late — and only in selected modules. An open system gives you an AI assistant right away, matched to your processes.

Data scattered across Excel, email, CRM

The sales rep looks at 4 tools at once. A single source of truth does not exist. Every new implementation starts with the question: „where are the current fabric prices, anyway?”.

Case studies

Three industries, one pattern

Different products, different processes — but the same pain and the same direction of the solution. Here is what it looks like in practice.

Sewing workshop • bags

Quoting bags with 4–6 patterns and screen printing

Problem

Every order is different. The sales rep used to keep dozens of parameters in their head: patterns (back, front, pockets, lining, bottom, handles), fabrics, accessories, quantity-based margins, screen printing variants per number of colors, prototypes, minimum order. A quote in Word took half a day.

What we did

A dedicated pricing engine in Open Mercato. The sales rep enters the order parameters, the system generates a table of price variants for 100/250/500/1000 units and a uniform PDF for the customer — in seconds.

Orthosis manufacturer

Individual orders with patient parameters

Problem

Orthoses are a regulated and highly individual product — every configuration requires measurements, material selection, components and accessories tailored to the patient. Orders often arrive by email, through a distributor or from a doctor, in formats nobody anticipated.

What we did

An order-intake workflow from a form + automatic generation of a manufacturing routing sheet for production. The system validates parameter completeness, calculates material and labor cost, and the sales rep sees a full order briefing without retyping it from email into Excel.

Garden furniture manufacturer

Seasonal orders, color variants, logistics

Problem

The garden furniture industry runs on seasonal cycles — 70% of revenue happens in just a few months. At peak, sales reps drown in quotes: every piece has color variants, equipment options, oversize shipping costs and different margins per sales channel (B2B vs B2C, distributor vs end customer).

What we did

A quoting module with a configurator for color and equipment variants, automatic weight and dimension calculation for shipping costs, and margin rules per sales channel. At peak season, a sales rep produces 3× more quotes without growing the team.

What exactly we deliver

Modules built on Open Mercato — rolled out one by one, at a pace that does not paralyze production. You take only what you need and expand once you see the result of the first step.

Pricing engine (custom)

A dedicated calculator for your products — with BOM, margins, decorations, prototypes and quantity variants.

Materials management

Fabrics, accessories, components, suppliers. Prices updated centrally, not from the sales rep's memory.

Margin rules

Per product group, per quantity, per channel, per customer. Managed centrally, applied automatically.

Labor cost and standards

Hourly rates, time standards for different product types. Included in the quote without extra work.

Logistics costs

Automatic calculation of package weight and dimensions, shipping cost per zone/carrier.

PDF quote

A standard, polished PDF with price variants, specification and branding — generated with one click.

AI assistant

Suggests quote variants, recognizes similar orders, speeds up the sales rep's work, supports margin decisions.

Order management

Production status, quote history, customer–order relationships in one place.

Open architecture

The code is yours. You can extend the system freely, without waiting for the vendor.

Why Open Mercato instead of a big ERP?

Comarch, Asseco, SAP B1 and the like build universal combines for thousands of companies. The problem is that your company is not universal — and every customization in a closed system costs weeks of negotiation and tens of thousands of zlotys.

Closed ERPs

Comarch, Asseco, SAP B1

  • Closed code — every change goes through the vendor
  • Implementation measured in quarters, not weeks
  • AI bolted on slowly because the engine was designed 15 years ago
  • Universality at the cost of fit to your industry
  • Dependence on a single vendor — including on pricing
  • A „custom" feature = a separate project with a separate budget
Open Mercato

Open ERP/CRM with AI

  • Open code — we change exactly what you need
  • Module-by-module rollout, without freezing production
  • Built-in AI assistant for ERP/CRM from day one
  • Custom quoting calculator for your processes
  • You own the system, you are not a tenant
  • Every new feature is an iteration, not a six-month project

What the implementation looks like

No big-bang. We come in module by module, starting from the biggest pain point.

1. Free consultation

A conversation about your processes. We identify bottlenecks and point to the module that will deliver the biggest return the fastest.

2. Process mapping

Together we describe the current flow — patterns, materials, margins, channels, documents. The specification of the first module emerges.

3. First module rollout

Typically 4–8 weeks. Runs in parallel with the current system. The team sees the result before you decide on the rest.

4. Iterative expansion

We add further modules once the previous ones are running stably. You decide the order, we deliver.
